The Strand Fish and Chips in Worthing, West Sussex - England UK

You really can’t go wrong with any place when you get fish and chips in England. Are typical go-to is Worthing Fisheries FIsh & Chips, but we were set to have a fish n chips lunch with Scott’s nan, and she suggested The Strand FIsh & Chips in Worthing. This also worked out in my favor since there are two Guild Care charity shops at The Strand, so I got to pop in to have a look.

The Strand FIsh & Chips is a very quaint and charming shop! It’s a community staple since it seemed to have a handful of locals dining and hanging out. Aside from fish and chips, you can also order from a variety of menu items like burgers, wraps, chicken gluten-free and breakfast dishes - see the entire menu here. A Small Cod fish and chips is £6.50 ($8.60), regular chips is £3.20 ($4.23) and of course we got a side of curry sauce (for £1.80/$2.38). What’s nice is any excess oil is drained so that each fish fillet remains non-greasy and crisp to the taste!

ABOUT THE STRAND FISH & CHIPS
All of our ingredients come from known suppliers, and we can trace through the supply chain, the origin of every sack of potatoes, and each piece of fish we buy. The fish we use is caught from well managed stocks in Norwegian waters and are MSC Approved. We use the best Maris Piper potatoes, sourced from locally selected farmers, and they are freshly peeled and chipped at our shop every morning.

We believe that fish and chips is the tastiest meal you'll ever eat when cooked properly. We only sell products we would eat ourselves, and feed our family with. All our food is cooked to order, so it stays nice, crisp and fresh. Fish and chips are the still the most popular takeaway in the UK, and we aim to deliver the best tasting seafood available locally.

We are located in Worthing, a lovely town on the south coast of England, near Brighton. Great walks on the Downs and a pretty seaside offering peace and tranquility makes it popular with holiday makers of all kinds. We are in the Durrington area of Worthing, two minutes walk from Durrington-On-Sea train station, a major station of the well-served Southern East-West coast railway.

We are also accessible by Stagecoach bus, with the bus routes 9, 10, and PULSE serving 2 bus stops nearby - Durrington The Boulevard Shops, and Durrington Golden Lion Pub.
